Hurray! Another Igbo – a lady – gets accepted into all 8 Ivy League US universities!

The Ivy League universities in the US are the best universities in the US, and are widely considered the best in the world, together with Oxford and Cambridge in the UK. There only those that have got lots of money or lots of brains can be accepted.

Those are the schools where the presidents, kings, prime ministers and billionaires of this world send their kids to go get educated and connected. They are 8 in number.

It is extremely difficult to get into one, and getting into one prepares one for greatness; ask Barak Obama. Last year an Igbo, Harold Ekeh applied to enter all eight of them, and he was accepted by all 8.

This year an Igbo lady, Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna who is also friends with Harold Eke, decided to show that what an Igbo man can do, an Igbo woman can do better; so she applied to all 8 Ivy League universities, and guess what, they all accepted her.

This is a proud moment for me and for every Igbo. It shows he kind of things we could do in Nigeria here, if only merit was allowed to reign. We would move mountains.

Igbo ladies are just too much.  Not only do they have the beauty, they also have the ethic to work hard and achieve. Take a look at the World Bank for instance. First Vice President from Africa was an Igbo woman, Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla. Since then, we have had 2 more Igbo women, Oby Ezekwesili and presently Arumah Oteh as Vice Presidents of the World Bank.

Our women are really trying everywhere. Now our ladies have an ever increasing number of role models to look up to. In closing let me say we hope to get more good news from Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna in the future.

Igbo Kwenu! This achievement and Harold Ekeh’s own are examples of the Resourceful Equianoism of the Igbos.
