British security on alert as Ecuador considers expelling Wikileaks founder Assange

Ecuador is not pleased with the high profile asylum guest in its UK embassy, Julian Assange of Wikileaks.

This comes after Assange allegedly accused President Moreno of corruption.

He has also

complained that his privacy has been invaded by his Ecuadorean hosts. The UN is investigating that claim.

If Ecuador decides to expel Assange, British police outside the embassy are likely to pounce on him and hand him over to US authorities.

Assange says he fears for his saftey should that happen. Many in the US, including Hillary Clinton, have called for Assange to be severely punished for leaking US secrets in his Wikileaks website.
