President Donald Trump’s hell-raising lawyer Rudy Guliani, has warned the team investigating the alleged collision between Russia and the Trump 2016 campaign against relying on testimony from Michael Cohen.
Michael Cohen is Trump’s former lawyer and right hand man.Â
“He cannot be believed,” Giuliani, told Reuters on Thursday, referring to Cohen. “If they rely on him … it would destroy whatever case they have.”
Guliani was reacting to Michael Cohen’s allegations that Trump knew in advance about a June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower at which a Russian lawyer with links to the Kremlin offered to provide damaging information about Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton.
CNN, which reported the allegation, said Cohen is willing to make that assertion to the Mueller investigation.
President Trump has previously denied knowing about the meeting before it happened.
His son Donald Jr was in some very hot water after he initially revealed the meeting to the media. Trump son-in-law Jared Krushner also attended the meeting.
