Turkey’s Erdogan has ordered a deadly onslaught against Kurdish fighters allied to the United States based in Syria.
This comes even as he reaches out to US president, Donald Trump, whom he just recently reconciled with.
This shows that to Turkey, the issue of Kurdistan is a red line. Turkey, it seems, is willing to risk another spat with the US on the Kurdish issue.
So far several of the Kurdish fighters have fallen to Turkish shell fire.
The Turks are concerned that leaving a trained and armed force near their border could inspire similar groups to form within their large Kurdish minority.
