Trump asks Japanese car makers to build their cars meant for the US in the US
But it makes little economic sense for car manufacturers to produce each type of vehicle they sell in every single country in which they sell them.
Trump must realise that Japanese car manufacturers already produce 53 percent of cars they sell in the US in the US.
That is already a pass mark. The firms have to remain profitable to survive. President Trump Sir, do not expect 100 percent of Japanese cars sold in US to be manufactured there.
What you can ask from the Japanese is that they adjust their emission standards to accommodate more American cars in a way that doesn’t damage their environment.
