Ada Igbo and Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, who was also Vice President and later Managing Director of the World Bank, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been re-appointed as the Chair of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance created by Bill and Melinda Gates. Gavi was set up to save children’s lives and protect people’s health by increasing equitable use of vaccines in third developing countries.
