To me, this can be interpreted to mean; if one prepares well, they will be able to face unexpected obstacles that appear on the way.

So, we should plan ahead in life. Lord Chesterfield said ‘to foresee is to rule’.

If one plans ahead, they will not go and do dorime with their last card.

To me, we should also have a contingency plan to enable us tackle uncertainty.

Exactly. For your Plan A, have a Plan B, and even a Plan C. One way to do this is to ask yourself ‘what will happen if this (Plan A) fails?’

      And remember that in engineering, 2 (plans) = 1, and 3 (plans) = 2.

Ability to face one fears sometimes comes from previous experiences. The ability to surmount challenges that appears impossible is the courage to be fearless and the strength to overcome any other difficulties
