The picture above would be familiar (but disturbing) to many in the Mainland who love good food. Yes, that is (or used to be) Barcelos fast food joint, Isaac John Street, GRA, Ikeja. It has closed down unfortunately, and people who live in GRA have one less good eatery to eat in.
But a little bird told me they have also reopened in Ikeja Shopping Mall (will check it out). So the kweshion is: did they close down in Isaac John because of the recession? And if it was for strategic reasons, would they suffer for dumping the deep-pocketed patron in GRA Ikeja? Time, as they say, will tell.
