Yes I Have N300m In Zenith Bank, But I Deposited It Before I became Governor – Fayose 

The EFCC has told us of recent that Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has an account in Zenith bank with N300m which it is investigating. Governor Fayose, speaking through his spokesmen, Lere Olayinka, has just come out to confirm that the EFCC’s allegation about a N300m in his account is true.

But he also says that the money was deposited in the account before (and not after) he became Ekiti State Governor. See what he said about the said money in the account and his plans to spend half a billion each year helping the less privileged.

‘I Won’t Contribute A Kobo To Your School Feeding Programme,’ Fayose Tells FG 

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said that the school feeding programme of the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government must be done without the proposed 40 per cent counterpart funding from States.

The fiery governor said the Federal Government was already looking for an excuse for the impending failure of the programme by asking states to contribute 40 per cent to the scheme when they know states are not in any financial position to do so, describing the scheme, as purely a contract between the APC-led Federal Government and Nigerians.

As the outburst of Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, against Fulani herdsmen over attack and killings in the state, continue to elicit reactions across the country, the governor has declared that has nothing against the Fulani people or any other tribe in the country.

Fayose, who also said that he was not an ethnic jingoist who was out to cause confusion in the country, added that his call to the Federal Government to arrest the rising tide of herdsmen attacks on communities across the country was borne out of the need for national cohesion, unity and peace.
