On 3rd January 2021, indigenous Igbo of Benue state under the aegis of Ezza Ezekuna Benue Development Association (EEBDA), organized an event in order to create an awareness of their existence in Benue State.
They equally used the opportunity to ask for greater inclusion in Benue state affairs.
The formation of Ezza Ezekuna Benue Development Association (EEBDA) was championed by 3 indigenous Igbo of Benue State, namely Esomchi Jacob Ukoro, Igwe Cletus Ebonyi and Nweke Cedric Ifeanyichukwu , and many others.
There are many Igbo settled in Benue State, but these Igbo are indigenous to Benue. While other Igbo have come from other parts of Igboland such as Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi and other states, these Igbo have Benue as their state of origin.
The aims of the association include: Promoting peaceful coexistence between Ezza people and their neighbours in Ado and Oju LGAs where they are indigenous to; and organizing the Ezza Igbo towards greater achievemnent in Benue state.
Wow that is wonderful. I love the spirit of a typical Igbo man they are found in everywhere in the part of this world
