Like the proverbial agama lizard that is not fazed by not being praised and proceeds to praise himself, President Trump took to Twitter to take credit for the US’s sterling economic performance. And I think he deserves more praise for the economy.
He also took out time to diss France, with whom he has an environmental quarrel; and China, with whom he has an economic one. He tweeted:
It is incredible that with a very strong dollar and virtually no inflation, the outside world blowing up around us, Paris is burning and China way down, the Fed is even considering yet another interest rate hike. Take the Victory!
While we congratulate Trump over his sterling economic performance so far, we must point out that his comment on France looks like gloating over the misfortunes of one’s adversary.
As for China, it has a great economy that pulls millions of its citizens out of poverty every year. Amazing! Should be looked into for tips and lessons.

Mr Trump, my advice is that you sign up to the Central American Marshall Plan proposed by Mexico’s President Obrador. I think the migrant caravans will reduce if these guys have quality jobs in their countries.
