The flash floods that have taken over large parts of Texas, making cars float may worsen on Tuesday and spread to nearby states of Alabama and Louisiana, reports the Washington Post. The situation is not helped by droughts that came before the flash floods
The extremely dry ground, along with the rapid rate of rainfall, combined to trigger widespread flooding. Droughts harden topsoils, making it hard for them to absorb heavy precipitation.
