Multichoice Nigeria, organisers of Big Brother Naija reality show, has announced features of Season 7 edition of the TV show will begin on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Here are the following highlights.
- This year’s BBNaija will premiere with two opening ceremonies. One on Saturday, July 23 and the other on Sunday, 24.
- No SMS voting for this season.
- Fans will instead vote for their favourite housemates for free on BBNaija’s official website and mobile app as well as on the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps.
- The winner of the reality TV show will take home N50million cash prize with another N50million worth of prizes from the sponsors.
- The show will air from 7pm on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 with a simulcast on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family.
- This year’s edition of BBNaija will run for 72 days and end on October 2, 2022.

Our Analysis
Liquorose almost winning the same amount as the prize money must have shaken the organizers. Imagine if Liquorose had won prizes in enough tasks to surpass the grand prize in the last edition. It would have looked funny at the awards.
By getting fans to vote on their site, they’ll be able to sell adverts. But fans may be concerned that they now have complete control of the vote counting. MultiChoice have to do more to assure the public that despite this control, the votes can ALWAYS be trusted.

The prize is kinda huge to the ears this time both at the end of the day the organisers take the lion share of the profit.

The photographers wait till after the show to make mega money from the housemates via photoshoot for Instagram.
The fans always like high quality photoshoot so many housemates have to spend big to please their fans.
