Arising from crucial security meeting with Enugu state government, traditional rulers and presidents-general of more than 450 town unions in the state, yesterday resolved to amend the laws establishing vigilante groups to strengthen them and possibly enable them to bear arms.

The security meeting, coming one week after suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded Nimbo community in Uzo-Uwani council area, killing scores, was organised to stern further occurrence.
