Thousands of Lagosians left stranded by LG elections related traffic jam

Thousand of Lagosians were left stranded on election day eve as election related activities led to massive gridlock.

Angry motorists and pedestrians blamed traffic management officials for abandoning them to their fate as they were no where to be seen.

Merciless transporters seized the opportunity to hijack transport fees by as much as 400% in some cases, leaving unsuspecting computers stranded. For instance buses that usually charge N150 from Oshodi to Abulegba were spotted charging N600.

Thousands of Lagosians had no choice but to trekk. It will not be surprising if thousands are too tired to vote in Saturday’s local government elections as a result.
