Community Pantry on Hurst Farm in Derbyshire is a food club where you pay £5 for membership and can do food shopping worth about £50!
Funding for the pantry located in the Club basement came from Platform Housing’s Community Chest, Derbyshire County Council and Feeding Derbyshire.
The pantry services the wider Matlock community, providing much needed affordable food to families in the area that have been feeding from hand to mouth because of difficulties in the UK economy.
Dear Community Pantry on Hurst Farm, Igbodefender.com and the Prince and Princess Charles Offokaja Foundation salute you!
The pandemic has really dealt with families the world over. Anyone who decides to help others tuck in a bit more snuggly deserves kudos.
