Postcards were a thing before (and they still are to lots of people in this digitally-paced age. They are what selfies are today). And they are what selfies want to be. Think of them as post-it notes but for friends and family when you are away in another city, state, country, etc.
For instance, if you visited the Eiffel Tower then, you’d buy a postcard at the site with a picture of the famous tourist destination stuck on it, stick some postage stamps on the card, pen down a little note and post it back to friends or family via the post office.
Family and friends would then share it with glee with others. But these days, you just take a selfie and share it to friends and family directly from your mobile device.
Well, services like my postcards and Igbodefender.com are keeping that tradition alive by making lovely postcards available for you to send to friends and family.
Postcards are personal and take their time in the fast-paced world of today. Postcards go, as Max Ehrmann wrote in his famous essay, ‘placidly amidst the noise and the haste’…
Postcards don’t hasten. They take their time in showing our loved ones that we miss them and wish they were here with us at that moment. A moment that stretches from when the note is written to when it’s finally received back home. It creates a feeling of anticipation from both ends.
Missing someone? We have a postcard design you could send to them here.
Do people still use Postcards in this day and age?
@potal yes o few people still use it.
They are also call mailing-cards, postal cards etc, cards for sending a message by post without an envelope, typically having a photograph or other .
Well, postcard is said to be old-school of sending pictures to our love ones but as old-school as it is, it still exist.
But I still prefer my selfie in soft copies
There’s nothing as good as having the soft copies of your photographs which you can also print out any time you so wish.
