Happy Posthumous Birthday Zik Of Africa

Today marks yet another great day, as we celebrate another post humous birthday of our icon, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, the Zik of Africa, who was a great Igbo, Nigerian and Pan African leader.

Zikist Movement calls on the Federal Government of Nigeria to speedily build up Zik’s masoleum in Onitsha, as that is one way to give repect to Zik who was the first President of Nigeria. We also call for the reintroduction of History as a subject in our schools, to enable the young generations learn about our founding fathers.

We also felicitate with other Nigerians born on this great and auspicious day. We wish you every good thing you wish yourself and your country.

Let us reflect on the fact that Zik was a great follower before he became a great leader. He was a loyal follower of Olakunle Herbert Macaulay, the first Chairman of the NCNC, and as a result, on Macaulay’s deathbed, he handed over the NCNC to Zik, and Igbo man. The rest, as they say,  is history.

If we aspire to be great leaders, let us start by being great followers like Zik has thaught us.

It is well with Nigeria.
