Robert Mugabe certainly has a way with words. Tell me what he said here isn’t true. To me, the proverb means that one should treat everybody fairly, because, no matter how low someone may be in class, money, etc, you may need the person tomorrow.

I remember a story I once read about a very wealthy man who was stuck in the desert and was dying o thirst. At that point what mattered most to the rich man was not the millions of dollars in his account, but whether the pauper who had a flask of water would share some of it with him.
