Unconfirmed reports say that the paramount ruler of the Ogoni people Barinaadaa Gbaranee who was earlier arrested by the Army may have died in their custody.
The Army has not yet confirmed or denied this, but never the less, the rumour is reportedly generating a lot of tension among Ogoni youths.
According to reports, the traditional ruler was arrested by the Army allegedly over his involvement with the Niger Delta Avengers, a group whose militant activities threatens to increase the fuel scarcity troubles Nigeria is currently faced with because of their activities blowing up pipelines.
