US media is reporting that Allen Weisselberg, chief financial officer of the Trump Organization has been given immunity. He is currently talking with Federal investigators investigating President Trump.Â
Allen Weisselberg is one of Trump’s most trusted non-family members.
He’s Treasurer of the Trump family foundation. He also runs Mr Trump’s private trusts.
The BBC says Mr Weisselberg reportedly oversaw the reimbursements Trump’s indicted ex-lawyer Michael Cohen received from the Trump Organization for paying adult film star Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’.
What’s The Big Deal?
Investigators are looking at the possibility that Mr Weisselberg reported the payments in a way that could would indict President Trump for campaign finance violations.
