Fire Raging In Auburn University, Alabama

Fire personnel are still fighting to quell a fire outbreak in Lowder Hall, Auburn University, Alabama. Reports say surrounding buildings are however unaffected.

Classes have been canceled and officials say the building and its parking lot will remain closed today. Employees who work in the building have been told not to report to work. However, War Eagle Way has been reopened for employees who work in other buildings.

Lowder Hall, which is located on War Eagle Way and Magnolia Avenue, was built in 1992, and underwent a $5.6 million renovation in 2014.

Considerable traffic is expected on Magnolia Avenue today as a result of the incident. Auburn university officials are still investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
