The Ooni of Ife is one of the most famous monarchs in Yorubaland, and it may be fitting to call hims a monarch of monarchs. His position as king of Ife is so priviledged that people from other Yoruba Kingdoms also see him as a kind of great father figure to them too.
So it was not surprising when students of Ibadan Polytechnic paid the king a courtesy visit and in a Yoruba sign of respect prostrated before him. See more photos from the visit.
