Nigerian Athlete Tobi Amusan Breaks World Record Twice, Wins N42m

Nigerian sprinter Miss Tobi Amusan, broke the world record for the 100m women’s hurdle and also won a gold medal at the ongoing world Athletics Championship, holding at Eugene, Oregon.

Amusan, who had also broken the world record in the semi final by recording a time of 12.12 seconds, also won the final in a time of 12.06 seconds.

Actually, she would have broken two world records if the original time achieved in for her final race(12.06 secs) not been adjusted for wind direction.

It was still a super remarkable outing for the Nigerian athlete. She who will take home a prize of $100,000 (N42M million in Nigerian Naira) for breaking the world record in the semi final race.

Congrats, Amusan.
