MIXED FEELINGS AS NNPC BEGINS OIL EXPLORATION IN SOKOTO BASIN

While the Sokoto State Government has expressed delight over the news that NNPC wants to explore for crude oil in the Sokoto Basin, many Nigerians have questioned the move, which comes at a period of low crude oil prices and unsold barrels of oil. Many are of the view that oil exploration in this period should be severely limited, and funds channeled to other areas of National life.
