Meat Pie Without Meat

There is one funny thing I have noticed about meat pies being sold in many places in Nigeria. A lot of meat pie bakers don’t add meat into the pie, and they still call it meat pie. Can you imagine!?

The other day I bought meat pie to eat and opened it up, but all I saw was potatoes instead of meat inside the pie.

It is only in the big joints like Mr Biggs and Sweet Sensation that you can see meat in the meat pie.

I encourage the Nigerian meat pie bakers guilty (you know yourselves) to please include more meat into your ‘meat pies’ to make it the real thing. Either you do that, or you call the potato pie.

I rest my case.
