The Ooni of Ife, HRM Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, who is heir to the ancient throne of Odududuwa, founder of the Yoruba Race, recently threw open an invitation to the Igbo Race outside Ile Ife, as well as all humanity to begin attending the Aje Festival of wealth-making in Ife Ife.
Igbodefender.com and its community welcome this invitation. We congratulate the Ooni for being a unifier, ever since the time of Oduduwa The Great.
We ask Igbos who are indigenes outside Ife to begin attending Aje Festival, as it talks about the historical interactions between Igbo, Yoruba and wealth-making.
Recall that, while speaking to newsmen at the recent Aje Festival of wealth-making, The Ooni linked the earliest wealth-making to the Igbos through Obatala (the Igbo kings of Aboriginal Ife), but stated that the Yoruba are now the custodians of the Aje Festival, which is meant to celebrate and promote the art of wealth-making.
He further stated that the Aje Festival has helped stabilize the Nigerian economy for the benefit of the masses, specifically leading to a strengthening of the Nigerian currency the Naira, during a period of economic recession.
The Igbos and Yorubaas have a duty to promote Aje Festival of wealth-making and make it a globally known and cherished event.
We look forward to a time when a world economic forum would be held in Ile Ife on the sidelines of the Aje Festival.
