Igbo Leaders In Lagos Ask Government To Order Release Of Arrested Community Leader

The tension from the recent election has still not settled. Igbo Leaders have called on the Lagos State Government to order the immediate release of the Eze Chinedu Mozie, who was detained by the police after he resisted thugs who prevented him and his people from voting in the just concluded Governorship and House of Assembly elections at Ibasa Satellite Town, Lagos.

Against the determination of the thugs to stop him to vote, he had maintained that it was his constitutional right to vote.

  1. The Nigerian police has no right to detain him, because, election ought to be free and fair. Thugs, miscreant are not supposed to be found there.
The thugs has no right to stop him or any one for voting, because it’s our constitutional rights and our duties as a good citizen.
The thugs should be arrested, while chinedu should be released with an immediate effect

  2. Detaining someone who is fighting for his life from the thugs is very bad, where are so called police men when the things are wasting innocent souls no evil shall go unpunished,God will pay them by their coin

  3. It’s constitutional that every individual has every right to vote, so it inhumane to deny people to vote who ever they want to vote, and is very painful this kind of thing can only happened here in Nigeria, may Almighty God help us oooo

  4. I wonder where we are going. This issue of tribalism got to stop. Come to think of it, where is the one Nigeria we talked about? Please, that man should be released. We all have the right to vote and be voted for. Haba Nigeria!

  5. It is quite pathetic, in a country where we have laws and rights yet nobody is upholding them, our fundamental human right is being trampled upon and the perpetrators are moving about freely. It is indeed very sad
