Below is the advice of Osita Chidoka to Nigerians on how people can protect their life in medical emergency in Nigeria.
An unhappy Chidoka took to social media to give the advice while mourning his late brother-in-law who was pronounced dead in front of Federal Medical Centre, Abuja. He says;
I advise, go for regular medical checkups. Have a primary health physician who knows you personally and has your history. Your primary physician is likely to be the difference between life and death.
Our institutions are weak and our public servants are neither public-minded nor interested in service.
Taking to his Facebook handle, he protested the manner of emergency treatment allegedly given to his brother in the Facebook. Source: https://www.facebook.com/241803612521286/posts/pfbid02E96jVazNsE7UHqCpZBZpbgdCHHQsEt5drjB6HWtqvavKKz8mPk4F16v3gXcDRUwil/
May the soul of the departed rest in peace.
It is high time Nigeria government should do something about poor service complains of federal and state hospitals. People are really complaining ooo.
This is a good advice. People should take their medical check up seriously.
Yeah
Nice advice.
I can’t remember when last I check my BP. Thanks for the advice.
Lol, it’s very important o, if possible just buy the BP monitor, it’s not expensive
Yes o. People should always take their health seriously.
From this, I learnt that even if one is healthy, sometimes it may be advisable to do a general checkup just for a doctor to have your medical history just in case. But one should also be careful…
They say health is wealth. Make sure you check your vitals often.
