      @cake my understanding to this is one bearing the whole responsibility of something and neglecting to take care of his or her life.

      What I understand in this proverb is that, the tiger wearing a bell would not be able to catch other animals for food because of the noise of the bell. Ones other animals hear the bell, they will sense danger and run. Therefore, the tiger will starved.

      @pink I think you are correct. The bell will alert prey to the tiger’s presence.

      If you study the way tigers hunt, you notice that a lot depends on silence till the right moment to pounce.

      This proverb is good for sports teams and other teams that have to use strategy.
