Today we’ll be talking about the town service men, the bike men in particular.
Here in my local environment, most bike men aren’t respected and some deserve the disrespect they get because of the way they act towards their customers.
While some of these bike men have special customers who most times call them when their services are required, some make face when stranded customers need their service. In this regard, let’s take the school environment as a case study- in the morning, while students are going to school, you’ll see these bike men asking students if they need a bike to take them to school. In some cases,you’ll even pity them and enter into their bikes. But later in the day,that’s evening time,they’ll be free and still not wanting to carry you even when you stop them.
This attitude has gotten most of the students frustrated. The painful part of it is when one is under the scorching sun, you stop them but because they see someone else, most times girls and yahoo boys, they call a higher price for you and if you can’t afford to pay it, they won’t listen to your bargain.
Due to these attitudes, some of us are no longer willing to be served by these group of people, rather, some choose trekking while others find the ones they can relate to.
These problems aught to be solved as a time will come their services as bike men will not be needed.
