A Chinese proverb says things are difficult before they become easy.
I think things like learning a new language or new skill are difficult at first, then start getting easy if we don’t give up, constantly evaluate our performance and make necessary changes while still on the same learning path.
According to psycho cybernetics, when we start learning something new, the brain does not yet have a memory map to provide comprehensive guidance about that activity or field.
Think of how many times you fell down as a kid while learning to walk.
But as we practice the new skill, the brain begins to draw a comprehensive memory map, and if we keep up with it, we might soon we discover we have gained some level of mastery of the new skill.
So, I think the thing is to smartly practice the skill we want to master. I say smartly, because I believe we should constantly review performance to see areas that might need improvement, and build upon areas that are already working.
I am not saying everyone can learn every skill. Of course, there may be skills we simply do not have the interest – and therefore, necessary motivation – to learn. And there are other determining variables that may – or may not – preclude skill learning ab initio.
But I am postulating that generally even dificult, skills can be learnt if one works smart and stays committed to skill they really want to learn.
Let me stop here for now.
Over To You
What do you think about difficulties that discourage us when we are first learning a new skill? And how do you overcome such difficulties when faced with such?
How do you encourage yourself to keep going and to improve?
Let’s learn from your personal experience or knowledge in these matters.

Everyone who walks today fell several times before they learned to walk well. And even people who can’t walk are able to develop other abilities more than those who can walk.
For example, do you know that some that can’t see can hear much better than people who can see? They can hear better because they were able to channel their brain learning ability to move far.
For instance, Ludwig Van Beethoven, one of the most famous musicians in history was deaf! How was he able to compose musicals that millions still enjoy today, after hundreds of years?

@cake I agree with you in the aspect of those that can’t see hear better than those that can see and hear at the same time. That reminds me of my childhood friend who could not walk but even someone that is walking and can stand if the guy grip on the person that person can never free himself or herself unless the guy decides to willingly free the person or another person(s) come to rescue the person from his hands. Then I believe that some of the energy that is supposed to be shared amongst the parts of the body was been used by one part alone.

One thing I’ve learnt in life: if you fail, just encourage yourself and be positive that you can make it next time and never give up.
