It is commendable to want to learn a new language.
However, starting a topic or making so many replies asking for translations of words of a foreign language when it is not clear that anyone in the community knows the language is not recommended. It doesn’t appear to give immediate value to other members of the community.
Even in the case of languages which it is clear that other members of the community know, it’s better to Ask just a few questions and then get replies before proceeding to ask other questions.
Otherwise it would lead to a situation where a translation topic appears to have too many unanswered questions and too little value for other members of the community.
