Everyone Should Be Active On The Internet – Femi Fani Kayode

Here some remarks Femi Fani Kayode made in his keynote speech at the 2nd Anaedo Online Anniversary.

“I know this event was planned on a neutral conditions but there’s been some atom of compromise by the government that invade the whole system. I am glad to be here to make this known to us that the unity can never hold when there’s malice and hatred against the truth.

“The online media is now the most prominent media platform where information and news are carried in fastest and widest range.

“In Nigeria, the print media have been comprised, biased and lack Independence. The bad government has ended up manipulating the media, they don’t publish the truth about things happening in the country.

“But today, the online media have now made it possible for every individual to air out his or her opinion to the public, and this is an element of civilization.

“I want to talk about the current happenings and situation of the country, most especially the south eastern region. Marginalization of the southeastern people has also affected the businessmen in the region.

“I know very well that if someone like Innoson has … support, he would have been otherwise known as world third most richest, but its quite unfortunate.

“Let’s talk about the history, Over 3.5 millions Biafrans were killed during the genocidal war of 1967 to 1970, almost 52 years now, there has never been any apology by the Nigerian government to the Biafrans, rather the marginalization increases exponentially.

“Anyone preaching to you about peace and unity must understand that it is impossible when there’s no justice and fairness in the system.

“I love my good friend, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the entire IPOB members. No matter the unlawful terrorist group tagged on them, they are ever resolute in fighting for the course they believe in, Nnamdi Kanu has won the heart of millions of Biafran youths today because he has been preaching the gospel truth, no compromise.

“They are with truth and they stood firm by it. I know one day Biafra will be free as a nation. Nnamdi Kanu is a light to the entire people of Nigeria and Africa for those who can only understand the ideology behind his terms.

“They also make use of online media to expose the lies and propagate the information people need to know. History is not being taught in schools and that has also been the primary cause of our problems.

“History gives us the facts about today and make a way for future but in Nigeria, the youths doesn’t know their history. Internet has provided the opportunities that was denied us by the federal government of Nigeria.

“I am urging every single individual to engage in the internet media platform where we can make our views because the truth must be told. Let’s join together and fight against the oppressors. Justice must reign. I am sure that the irresistible God of Israel will always be on the side of the oppressed until we are all free.”
