Carlos Ghosn to be released ‘by tomorrow’

A Japanese law court has rejected a request to extend the detention of Nissan’s former chairman Carlos Ghosn. This means Ghosn gets to walk out of detention.

Mr Ghosn was arrested in Tokyo last November for allegedly under-reporting his pay package over a five-year period.

He used to be chairman of Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi. But the latter two fired him after his arrest. Renault has stuck by him so far.
