Buhari, Listen To Fayose On Grazing

I am proud of Gov. Ayo Fayose and the people of Ekiti state for signing into law legislation which bans grazing rights for the Fulani herdsmen in the state and which prevents them from carrying firearms.
By this bold and courageous act Fayose and the Ekiiti State House of Assembly have saved many lives.
Every governor in the south and the Middle Belt should find the courage to emulate them and do the same. -FFK

We call on the Federal Government, and the National Assembly to stop politicizing cattle business in Nigeria! Give the herdsmen financial grants to buy land for ranches, From Willing Sellers!

Fayose is a courageous leader. Fani Kayode too. Buhari should listen to these people on this issue of grazing because the South is with them.

Government cannot tell us that the answer to the violence caused by free grazing is to sieze Southern ethnic/ancestral lands and reserve them for a profession dominated by one ethnic group.

Mba nu! It will never work! For wetin na!? 

Our ancestors gave us these lands thousands of years ago, and you just come and say that you are gofment, so you can take the lands.

That is the highest disrespect to our ancestors,  Mr President . President Buhari, you need to fire those encouraging you on this part. Maybe they want you to fail in 2019.

Not everyone smilling with you wishes you well. As the Igbos would say, use your tongue to count your teeth, Mr President.

The best thing you can do for the herdsmen is to give them the financial means to buy land for their own commercial ranches. Don’t fall  into the temptation of siezing Southern Nigerian ethnic lands for grazing reserve. And don’t delay on giving the herdsmen money to buy lands from willing sellers. 

Some things just can never work, no matter how politicaly powerful someone is.

Mr President, do the right thing. You -not those advicing you to take these unpopular steps- are the President.
