Barcelona has started preparing for the 2022-23 season. But it was a with a 1-1 draw against Fourth Division side UE Olot, rather than a win.
This was the result after 90 minutes on a hot Wednesday evening in Catalonia. Xavi Hernández’s team held control for most of the match, but only found the back of the net once. A penalty conceded just before halftime evened the scores.
Towards the 90th minute, Olot made dangerous advances into the Barca defence to grab a win. But Barca was saved twice only by the safe hands of Barça’s backup keeper Iñaki Peña. If not Olot would have delivered a stunning upset.
