The National Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), South East Zone, Chief Emma Eneukwu, has described APC as “the only shortcut for the Igbo to the presidency of Nigeria”.
Chief Eneukwu spoke at an event to mark the defection of former chieftain of PDP, Chief Emeka Ani to APC.
He urged Igbos to embrace the APC in order to correct what he said was
“the mistake they made in 2015” when they “put all their eggs in one basket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)”, even when some of them in APC tried in vain to get them to do otherwise.
The APC bigwig said that after current President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight year term in 2023, it would be the turn of the Igbo to produce Nigeria’s president.
