Nigeria’s Attorney General has announced that the Government is thinking seriously of banning Okada (commercial motorcycles).
This is because the government is blaming them for a lot. But without creating alternative employment or funding for the okada riders how do they want the Okada riders to feed?
One good thing then Governor Oshiomhole did when he banned them in Edo State then was to give them keke.

They are banning okada rider for insecurity in the country and all that but they can’t blame the units responsible for insecurity

Our government should just be reasonable at times

This okada that we are talking about even graduates that are yet to secure a job are doing it to survive life

They should provide alternative first before deciding to ban them

Of a truth, okada riders are contributing to some of the challenges we are facing in the nation. Eg.. reckless riding leading to accidents, creation of slump areas or squatter settlements as most of them are migrants who can’t afford to rent a house etc. But banning them without alternative will create more havoc to the system as most will be rendered jobless…. And it is said, an idle mind is the devil’s workshop..
