Trump attempts to bring down rising crude oil price by ‘postponing’ Syria strike
If Trump strikes Syria in the midst of the present buzz, the price of oil could hit $100 per barrel overnight. Putin’s Russia, the victim’s ally, would have a windfall, cancelling out some of the effects of Trump’s recent Russia sanctions.
Meanwhile, Democrats and the mainstream press would blame Trump for the rising price of gas.
Such a scenario would dent Trump’s growing popularity ahead of the mid terms. Putin the ever-skillful and shrewd geopolitical player, would undoubtedly seize the opportunity to ‘freeze’ the event, reaping the gains.
I think if Trump would strike, he may wait till the buzz dies down a little. The buzz itself was created by his amazing Twitter power.
