It’s looking as if Grammy Award-winning crooner Wizkid, may win 10 new Headies Awards, as he has been nominated in 10 award categories for the forthcoming award ceremony, which will be held in the United States.
Wizkid was nominated in the Song Of The Year, Male Artiste Of The Year, African Artiste Of The Year, Best Music Video, and Best Collaboration categories.
He also appeared in other categories like Best R&B Single, Best Recording, BestAfrobeats Album, Album Of The Year, and Viewers Choice.
Fans have taken to Twitter to hail the Essence crooner on his groundbreaking feat.
A tweep, @xandra_Jay tweeted, “I said it before and I’m// keep saying that Wizkid is the greatest African Artiste of all time. See the #HeadiesNominees again.”
Another tweep, @ada_meewah, said, “Wizkid is tired of awards, he is getting nominated every three market days. #HeadiesNominees #Headies2022”
Blasting Wizkid’s critics, @philosophierol4 said, “Calling Wizkid local champion because he was nominated nine times in the Headies award is the most forced savage. Wizkid has more international awards recognition than all your favourites combined.”

Another star who gathered multiple nominations was Ayra Starr.
Zazu Zeh crooner Portable is also among the nominees.

That is great to know, he is indeed a superstar in his career no doubt about that but he may not win all the nominations.
Grammy award is his main target always. This headies award he might not even attend he may decide to send a representative.
The name Wizkid has stuck with him. He tried changing it to Big Wiz. But people still call him Wizkid instead.
