The Queen Moremi Ajasoro Leadership Pegeant for this year has held in the presence of the Ooni of Ife, HRM Oba Enitan Ogunwusi. It was a colourful event.
Queen Moremi is the 12th Century Yoruba heroine who married Obatala, the King of the aboriginal Igbos of Ile Ife, learnt the secrets of the Igbos and told her Yoruba brothers, helping them to win the fight of Igbomokun.
Ooni Ogunwusi has advocated closer relations between Igbos and Yoruba’s based on intertwined history in Like Ife.
