AMP:The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

There are 3 things thief comes to do in this context

1) To steal

2) To kill

3) To distroy

The thief here is the Devil

The first thing the Devil comes after in everybody’s life is the kill the relationship between you and your God.

For the devil the touch any other part of your life successful first he goes for you relationship with you God

So whenever you see yourself finding it hard to pray or study the scripture know that it is attack from the Devil

Note:

Devil doesn’t go for empty person

The next thing the Devil goes for is your joy

Read Joel 1:1-12

Read the 12th verse very well and see why joy/happiness is a key to your progress in life

So in all you do never allow anything affect your joy
