The news of Nigerian actors and musicians dying because they don’t have enough money to treat themselves is very disturbing.
The media is littered with stories of deaths of stars because they aren’t able to fund their treatment.
One expects big associations like AGN and PMAN to have comprehensive health insurance for actors and musicians.
We ask AGM and PMAN to meet health management organizations HMOs to hammer out health insurance policies for every artiste registered in their bodies who pays dues.
Adequate Health insurance premium payments should be incorporated in the membership dues of registered artistes.
That way, if Any artiste should need to pay for a major health treatment, it would be much much easier. Enough of the avoidable sad stories please.
