A lady tells the story of how she sacrificed a scholarship to the University of Reading, UK because of her boyfriend, only for the boyfriend to dump her and marry another lady.

On her Facebook page, she wrote; “You know in 2013 I got a scholarship in the University of Reading in the UK. I wrote my IETLS and everything. I chose man over the scholarship, I could not imagine leaving my boyfriend in Nigeria to go abroad.”

“See me now my brain don partially block, how I wan take go school again. Man I chose, is his wife’s house eating rice me I am here lonely. If I ever get the chance to do it all over again I will avoid man with all my strength till I hit 30 years.”

      This world eh.

So, what lessons can we learn from this experience?

Should the lady try to get another scholarship after all these years?

Or should she focus on marriage now that she is older?

      This case is painful!

This is my message to the lady in question

Hmm, In this Naija you allow guy scam you! Anyways, my advice to you is to forget the past and face the future.

Just arrange yourself, if you can get another scholarship, just go back to school. No age limit in Education!

It is a lesson to us to be careful who we date!

What a sad story. My advice to her is to get herself another scholarship to avoid depression. From there, she can get a good Man that will marry her. It is a serious lesson to us to look before we leap.

Hmm! Life is cruel! On the normal ground, the lady was not wrong in choosing a man over scholarship she did the right thing if not the best thing to do at that moment but in most cases, I mean in cases like this, 99.9% always end up in “had I known” just like this lady’s case now. This story is synonymous with the stories of guys, illustrate guys most of the time that always send the women they plan to marry to school but at the end of the day it will become “had I known”. Those guys were not wrong in sending the person they love to school to acquire more knowledge but just because of the cruel nature of life the good becomes bad. My advice to the lady in particular is no hope is lost yet since there is life there is much more hope, things could only be better when she tries more, she should try again the best is yet to come!

I guess she was blinded by love. Or she loved too much.
