Bomb blast targets Turkish city police headquaters

A car bomb has detonated near the police headquarters in the Turkish city ofGaziantep, killing one person and injuring 13 others.

The blast hit the city at 9:30 local time. Gaziantep is only 6 kilometers to the border with war-torn Syria. Of late, bombings have increased in Turkey, and they are either linked to the Islamic State group or to the separatist Kurdistan Workers Party PKK.
