If you are Chinese or Indian, you no longer need a visa to visit to Brazil

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro made the announcement while visiting China, that Chinese and Indians would no longer need visas to travel to his country.

Bolsonaro, who is described as ‘Trump of the tropics’ because of the similarities of his personality -and policies- to Trump’s has taken a different stance toward China and immigration from Trump’s.

The move is seen as a pass mark to China and India, both developing countries that however have big economies. All previous beneficiaries of Bolsonaro’s visa removal policies have been developed countries.

Bolsonaro’s friend, Trump, on the other hand, has been restricting immigration to the United States, and slapping tariffs on Chinese goods.
